Still sick. I went to the doctor today and they told me that I have bronchitis, that I should be able to kick it on my own, so let it run its course and come back if I don't feel better.
So in my first three weeks as a real estate agent I sold two homes. My inability to balance that amount of business in such a short time-frame lead to me getting sick, which has rendered me useless for the last week. I say this to explain the bi-polar conversations that I've been having with myself. The fact that I sold two homes in as many weeks is a testimony to God's faithfulness - which is not lost on me. I believe that even being sick is part of God's plan - a lesson for me on the importance of balance. Still, being sick when you're self-employed is very different from calling in sick. Every day I'm gone costs me money, but returning too quickly could give me cause for more sick days.
So I'm going home to rest - probably for the rest of the weekend. There are things that I hope to get done, but I'm not going to break my back trying. Prayer seems to be more useful than anything, so I think I'll spend some time talking to God.
Happy Friday.

Take it easy and get well.
Hadn’t been to the blog for the past week or so. Went on vacation and am just now seeing these newer posts. First of all, congrats on the sales, Jess. I can see the providence of God all over this and I know that He’s blessing you and Kami. Second, hope you’re feeling better. Don’t work yourself ragged. Remember that God’s taken care of you this far and He’ll continue to take care of you in the future; all of your needs will be met whether you spend 50 hours a week or 90 hours a week pursuing your career (this is the pot calling the kettle black).
