I'm not really into computer games, but when I came across this flash-based game online I was pretty useless until I finished it. For anyone that played (and enjoyed) Myst, you might get a kick out of this game. For those that aren't familiar with Myst, then you'll either find this game intriguing or frustrating. There aren't any directions, and it's kind of a puzzle. You have to figure out where and when to click on different elements of the screen to proceed. I got all the way through it, but not without some difficulty on the second to last screen. To play, click HERE.
So thats 30 minutes (ok, 45) of my life I’ll never get back. I was stuck on the anteater level for half of that time.
I’m far from a gamer but made it through, mostly on just dumb luck.
Um. I think this is ridiculous. And yet I am transfixed.
For anyone that enjoyed playing, you can find Version 2.0 HERE.
The opium pipe is a nice touch.
Ok. Played both the first and the second versions. Odd, entertaining and very eclectic – I thoroughly enjoyed them. Then I checked out the main Analogik website and started following some of their other links. Again, some of it is interesting (especially the the flash animation and the links to the robots). But Rubber Johnny is seriously creepy and demented. I’m gonna have nightmares about that one.
Oh… and I have no idea where you find this stuff, Jess. You have a knack for ferreting out some truly unusual stuff. Here’s something for you to check out (if you haven’t already seen it). This is a short video of Christmas light decorating on steroids. This guy spends $150 per day in energy bills alone. It generated so much traffic and activity that the city kindly asked this guy to stop. Enjoy: http://www.evadingreality.com/video/WizardsofWinter-SM.wmv
