I didn't post over the weekend because Kami and I were to busy enjoying the sun. After 27 consecutive days of rain, an idea cropped up in our minds that maybe February would be a good time to visit our friends in Arizona. So on Friday we flew out of SeaTac Airport with Luck and Lara and headed down to Phoenix, where we spent the weekend with Chad and Heather Ashcraft (and their 8-month old daughter Corinne) and Aaron and Courtney Kellum. Chad, Luckey, and I spent most of our waking (and sleeping) college hours together, rooming together after our freshman year at MSU for several years, until marriage picked us off one by one. We try to get together every couple of years to reminisce, fellowship, laugh, and play a little folf (frisbee golf / disc golf).
This picture above is at the first tee box at a folf course in Phoenix. From left to right, Luck, Kellum, and Captain Chad Ashcraft stand at the tee, which is in front of the "Flash Flood Area" sign. I have played folf in four different states, and this course was far and away the most urban, as evidenced in
THIS PICTURE.
Thanks to the Ashcrafts and the Kellums for a great weekend, and to Kami's aunt Denise and uncle Roger that we were also able to visit for a short time. The weekend was a blast, and after waking up this morning to a couple of inches of snow, I'm confident that I'm going to have the best tan in the office for awhile.
