For those of you who know them, Dustin and Sara Harmon (representing Bainville, MT and Williston, ND), had a baby boy on Thursday. Sara and Kami were both pretty excited to learn that they were going to be pregnant together - only now Sara has to answer all of Kami’s questions on labor, nursing, and raising an infant for the next four months. I only mention all of this to let you know that Reese already has his own domain and website - his proud father purchased the domain from the hospital room and had the site running within a day. This is an interesting fact because Dustin has his own domain that he hasn’t done anything with in three years; it’s amazing the power these little creatures have over their parents! ReeseHarmon.com
Our remodel - for all intents and purposes - is done. Last night Kami’s step-father and I put baseboard trim in the nursery, and this was the last touch to a two-week job. The nursery is now officially the best looking room in the house, which only means that I’ll be compelled to put baseboard trim throughout the remainder of our home.
My favorite part of the remodel? The technology. Moving the computer into a room without a telephone jack forced me to install a wireless network card, so our desktop computer is now searching the internet wirelessly. We didn’t want the fax/printer on display for guests to see, so I bought a print server and connected it to our wireless router in the guest bedroom. Since everything is networked wirelessly, I can now hit print from the desktop in the family room, or print from my laptop anywhere in the house, and it will spur our printer to life in the guest bedroom. And the last household advance was the addition of a Tivo, which is also connected to our wireless network, and allows me to stream music directly from my computers to the Tivo and through our home theater system.
All of this means that I better get to work and sell an extra house this month - sadly, upgrading your home and your computers at the same time is neither free or cheap.
I am quickened to mention that I do realize how little these things matter. After holding an infant that we know the Harmons have been yearning for, and after celebrating the resurrection of a savior that took my place on the cross, all of these things seem meaningless in comparison. It’s easy for me to get distracted, but dispite the busy-ness of my weekend, seeing that child and and the love of his parents on the weekend of the resurrection had a centering affect on me. It was a busy weekend, but a peaceful one. God bless.

Congrats on the completion of the nursery! You guys are really on the ball. Now you can sit back & enjoy the next four months.
Thanks for posting the arrival of Reese–I was waiting to hear the good news. You guys are next!
Take care & don’t work too hard.
