Yesterday was Kami’s due date, which came and went without incident. This was despite all of the activities Kami undertook to encourage her passenger to get off board: walking, eating spicy foods, etc. We’ve tried to stay active, as the whole “watched pot never boils” seems especially true in this instance.
It’s hard to even stay in touch with certain people around this time, since every phone call is treated as THE call - the one announcing a rush to the hospital or a declaration of gender and weight. For instance, I know that calling my mom right now to ask for her recipe for lasagna would result in an immediate spike in blood pressure before she even picked up the phone.
All in due time I guess. Kami’s mom and her husband are here to help us get last minute things taken care of, and to help with the baby when it finally comes.
Maybe in the next blog post…maybe then I’ll have pictures and an announcement…

I hear that that a mixture of castor oil and Coca-Cola will bring the baby quickly… or so my mother-in-law says. Don’t know if it’s true or not but she says that’s what worked for her. She also said it’s the worst tasting concoction that she’s ever tasted - drinker beware.
Good luck to you and Kami and I can’t wait to greet the newest member of the Moore clan into the world. God bless you both!
