You’ll be missed :(

This is a picture of Dexter Clark, Kami’s grandfather. He passed away on March 14th at his home in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Kami and I left on Sunday to attend the services in Stevensville, MT.
We spent the next few days with her family, mostly reminiscing about a gentle man with a generous heart. Dexter spent most of his life in the Bitterroot Valley, so his funeral was well-attended by young and old alike. We learned a lot about Kami’s grandfather - like the fact that he started a boys ranch, and even a little more about his contribution in WWII (which he seldom talked about).
Kami and her family are doing well, considering. Dexter enriched the lives of many, and he’ll be missed. OBITUARY

Grandpa Dex was the best of the good ol’ boys for sure.
Jeneva and I gathered a lot of pictures from Gradpa Dex’s kids and aunt Bobby is getting us his military release papers. We are making copies and putting them on a CD. If anybody wants one, let us know and we can mail it to you.

My maternal grandfather (and last remaining grandparent) passed just a couple of years ago. He was gruff and surly on the outside but had a heart as big as Texas. Like your grandfather, mine was also a WWII vet but never talked about his stint in the US Army Air Corp. It wasnt until after his death that we found out details about his service to our country and some of the things that hed done for us as a family throughout the years. He held his cards close to his chest and was stoic. All this is to say that Im sorry for your familys loss, Kami. I know what its like to lose and miss someone thats been near and dear for your entire life. God bless you guys.
Sorry to hear about your grandfather’s passing. I’ll keep your family in my thoughts & prayers. I can’t help but think that my grandma & your grandpa (both newcomers on the block in heaven) have already met and are smiling down upon us.
Take care.
