Kind of like “The Cure”

This is my favorite recent photo of Selah - the punk rocker edition. She has aged a little since then, and her hair has thickened enough to lie down a majority of the time - which signals another stage whose passing I’ll mourn. Thankfully she enters a new stage as soon as one passes, and I begin to relish its nuances as well.
She’s begun to speak a little: saying or replicating versions of “hi”, “daddy”, “uckie”, “momma” and “doggie.” Her favorite expression of love is a series of vigorous pats - sometimes on the back, sometimes on the chest, sometimes both. It’s quite surprising, and amazing, how fulfilling such a simple gesture can be.
She can crawl freely into almost any room, or almost any cupboard for that matter. She knows what “no” means, and she responds to every part of us - she reacts to us walking in the door, the sound of us passing by her room, and even to the scent of our clothing.
For those keeping score at home, Selah is 10.5 months old today.

Selah had just woke up and I really wanted a picture of her hair. She was still in the not-quite-awake stage and did not want to be detached from me quite yet. So I took this photo while she was in my arms. Makes it artistic, right? =)
What a great pict, I think I like the mouth open and eyes glazed over the best! Mostly because I can relate oh so well!
I think G-Daddy needs a 5×7!
