WHAT the world isn't flat???? Man next thing The View is going to tell me that Santa and the Easter Bunny don't really exist! Next week on the view, we will ponder the philosophical and highly controversial question: do these pants make me look fat?

Is the world flat?

This "thread" fondly reminds me of a particular verse in the Bible.

We had some Egyptian missionary friends that we met in Germany when we lived there.

Noshi (the husband) was an engineer in Egypt--he became a Christian and God put it on his heart to move to Germany to minister to the Muslims there.

They left everything they knew-- family, friends, work--packed up their two little girls and went. This was years ago.

(It always makes me smile thinking of that radical move.)

Anyway, they continue today to include this verse, among others, when they minister.

They are able to share---that before "man" knew (or could "prove") the world was round....it was "penned" as "round" in the Bible. (God's Words written down through man)

Isaiah was written around 740 BC.

Isaiah 40:22
"He sits enthroned above the CIRCLE of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."

Just sharing some thoughts on the matter. (smile)

This is frighteningly vacuous programming. That this drivel is filling airtime is a testament to the desperation of the networks. They make the Teletubbies look like intellectuals.

Stay tuned next week when we ponder the riveting question: Did Cavemen prefer blondes?
