For me she dances to the left, and the right

I’m in the process of renovating the blog, and I hope to unveil the new and improved version in the next few days. Sadly, I think that I’m going to have to sacrifice the comments made over the last four years in order to make the transition, but I don’t know that I’m up for the effort involved in saving them.
In the meantime, I don’t want to ignore my adoring audience, so I’m going to post this oddity that I tripped across when I was working on moving my blog. I called Kami over to ask her what she saw, and it was different than what I was seeing - which tripped us both out. I think Kami thought I was pulling her leg, but that wasn’t the case. We were looking at something that is supposed to determine if you are left or right-brained - or as the test says, logical or creative. I actually see it both ways at different times, which probably just means that I’m confused. And just to warn the puritans, the figure in the test is the silhouette of a woman’s body. Nothing that you wouldn’t see on a mudflap, but a warning all the same. HEMISPHERE TEST

Ok. At first I thought you were smoking crack. The silhouette is obviously moving clockwise and I couldn’t see how anyone could mistake that. But then I focused on the shadow below and my mind instantly saw the silhouette going the opposite direction - even when I brought my eyes back up to the image. Now I can switch the rotation by refocusing on the shadow but not on the image. I guess this places us relatively in the same boat, Jess. Cheers and thanks for an interesting topic.
It is clockwise no matter how many times I look at. Interesting….
Ok - I finally saw it going counter clockwise. I did the same thing that Aaron mentioned above and it switched. So weird!
Yep. I showed this to Kamela and she can only see it rotating counter-clockwise. So my wife is left brained and I’m right brained. My guess is that men are typically more left brained and women more right brained… proving that we’re just not normal.
At first I saw it going counter clockwise. When I looked at the shadow (like Aaron) I saw it switch to clockwise. Then I saw it go back and forth and not all the way around. I think I just experienced a trip typically found by an “experimenting” college student.
I showed this to my kids, three of their friends and my husband all at same time. The reaction was a lot of freaked out hollering from the group of young people, lol. My husband and daughter saw it immediately flipping back and forth. The rest of us were split. I finally saw it go back and forth. They almost argued over what they were seeing. Very interesting (and highly entertaining!)
Okay, just to show you how very strange I am, if I would look at the words in the description underneath, when I looked right she would go clockwise, when I would look left then she would go counter-clockwise. Weird, hmm?
I saw it do nothing. I guess we know what that means.
It only goes clockwise for me. (I’m at work - doesn’t move
on our dial-up)
