Nothing to say / Random thoughts
Feb 28th, 2008 by Jesse Moore
It’s been a busy week, although not entirely productive. I’m not ready to talk about it though, so you’ll just have to take my word for it
It’s all work-related, and very interesting, but I’m not really to unveil it all yet.
I can feel myself slipping into this funk where I don’t want to write anything, but the symptoms keep me from wanting to write about it. So let me try to eek out a few random thoughts:
1) I’m not enthused about any of our potential presidential candidates - less enthused than I’ve been about any legitimate candidate in the last twenty years. On top of it all I just finished reading a few articles about McCain’s disdain for Boeing, which isn’t going to go over well in Washington State.
2) The writer’s strike is over, so how long will it take before tv is good again? I miss “The Office.” And “House.” Thank God reality tv isn’t good enough replace commercially-funded imagination.
3) I know that I’ve heard it said a million times, but what does congress have to do with baseball?
4) And speaking of congress, how can it take over a year to decide on a merger between Sirius and XM and less time to approve a merger between the two largest providers of two oil conglomerates? Last I checked, satellite radio is an elective service…and all of the developed world is dependant on petroleum - yet congress is going to protect us from overpriced luxury services! I own a Sirius satellite radio and stock in the company, and I’m almost as upset as Jim Cramer on the issue.
That’s all I can manage. Let’s hope the funk lifts and I can think coherently again soon.

I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.

On tv without writers: We gave up and are having the dish service
turned off until the Olympics. We are looking forward to a Fox free
zone. (too much political info cuz there didn’t seem to be anything
else on)
