You strike upon something that I've really been thinking a lot on lately: the death of common courtesy and the rise of 'me-ism'. It had its rise in the urban areas and is slowly spreading to the rural areas. And we're seeing much more of it in Montana. For instance, Kamela went riding with our daughter yesterday afternoon and was nearly run over three times by "soccer moms" blowing through stop signs; they had all just picked up their li'l darlin's from the local middle school. Kam yelled out to one to "get off the cell phone and pay attention to what you're doing" and was immediately rebuffed. Call it what you will - It's damned disconcerting. Good post, Jess.
